5 years ago I was given the opportunity to meet a new venture. A new set of goals. New friends and a new team thanks to R Akal Blenman who introduced me to John Saunderson's event.
With a new set of challenges often producing both possibilities and unexpected results (I was never any good at Maths)... Today is one of those great surprises and marks John's 25th entry publication into Music Week and well worth celebrating this occasion considering the climate.
So I take this opportunity to respectfully thank God and salute John Saunderson and our teamwork efforts. "Happy 25th to you John!!!" My work to date: twenty-ninth edition and thirty-eighth publication in Music Week. #update...
Creative Project Management:
15 years ago (2006/2007), not only did we work on a number of creative projects, He was the catalyst and appointed bandleader responsible for a very special KYPA music project known as The Khameloids which featured Quincy Roberts @quincy647 the only resident pupil from St Pauls Way Community School and for this one of many reasons,
I will always be appreciative to the staff at SPWC who gave me a platform to express my creativity. However, one student who I modelled my vision and the reason the KYPA creativity came to fruition was bandleader Daniel Johnson @daniel.d.johnson1988 as mentioned above.
Once Daniel became an ex-pupil, he strategically brought together a group of young people from outside of SPWC who possessed exceptional talent from City & Islington College - Laurence Hiller @hillerthegorilla, Stephanie Levi-John @stephlevijohn https://www.goldenglobes.com/articles/stephanie-levi-john-spanish-princess and Conrad Clayden @conradclayden to help produce in my opinion a benchmark for all my future KYPA projects centred around young people.
15 years on I celebrate each of their individual achievements. I can also report from Daniel (I still mentor him to date) the journey of his former band members have set a precedent and a positive upward trajectory to continue inspiring the KYPA experience. I am so happy to be reunited with them again... #update
